Hot summer days call for a sweet, refreshing treat. National Strawberry Sundae Day is July 7 and there is no better way to escape the summer heat than with this delicious dessert. There are many U.S. cities that claim stake as the birthplace of the sundae in the late 1880s, but one thing is for sure, the sundae is an American favorite.
Ingredients
4 scoops vanilla ice-cream
6 tbsp raspberry sauce
1/2 lb strawberries
4 shortbread cookies
6 tbsp Farmer's All Natural whipped cream
Preparation
Lightly whip cream to soft peaks.
First, put a scoop of ice cream in the bottom of a sundae glass.
Next, layer the sauce, strawberries and some crumbled shortbread.
Repeat this process again, then top with the whipped cream.
